01Definitions
- Service — the Lofi Gangs editorial publishing tool and the website at https://lofigangs.store.
- Operator, we — Omar Toure, identified in full on the Legal Notice page.
- User, you — an authorised member of the Lofi Gangs desk granted access to the Service.
- Connected Account — a Facebook Page, Instagram professional account or Threads profile owned by the outlet, which a User has authorised the Service to publish to.
- Content — text, images, video, captions and metadata a User prepares in the Service or publishes through it.
- Platform — the third-party services the Service publishes to: Facebook, Instagram and Threads, operated by Meta Platforms.
02Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Service. By connecting an account or by using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
03What the Service does
Lofi Gangs prepares editorial content for the Lofi Gangs local news outlet and publishes it to the outlet's own Facebook Page, Instagram account and Threads profile.
The Service is an internal tool. It is not made available to the public, and no account belonging to a third party can be connected to it.
Every post is reviewed and approved by a person before publication. The Service does not publish anything without that approval. It does not browse, follow, comment on, or message other accounts.
04Access to the Service
- Access is granted by the Operator to authorised members of the Lofi Gangs desk only.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You may only connect an account that the outlet owns or that you are authorised by its owner to manage.
- You are responsible for keeping your own credentials secure, and for the acts of anyone you allow to use your access.
- Access is personal to you and may not be transferred without our written agreement.
- Any attempt at unauthorised access, reverse engineering or misuse of the Service is prohibited.
05Third-party platforms
The Service uses Facebook Login and the Meta Graph API. When you connect a Facebook Page or an Instagram account you also remain bound by Meta's Terms of Service and Community Standards. Content published through the Service is subject to the Platform's own moderation, and the Platform may remove it or restrict the account independently of us.
We give no guarantee that a Platform will accept, publish, or keep online any given post. A Platform may change, restrict, deprecate or withdraw its API at any time, which may reduce or suspend features of the Service without notice and without liability on our part.
Lofi Gangs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms.
06Content and responsibility
You retain all rights to your Content. By using the Service you grant us only the technical permission needed to store that Content and transmit it to the Platform you selected.
Published content is local news reporting. It may reference public facts and cite sources already published by the press or by public institutions. Some visuals are generated with artificial intelligence tools; they illustrate the story and are not documentary photographs.
You are solely responsible for the Content you approve for publication, and you confirm that:
- you own it or hold the rights to publish it;
- it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or image rights;
- it is not unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or misleading;
- it complies with the rules of the Platform it is published to;
- where it concerns identifiable private individuals, you have a lawful basis for publishing it.
07Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- publish spam, bulk automated content, or content to accounts you do not control;
- impersonate any person or organisation;
- circumvent rate limits, moderation, or any Platform's technical restrictions;
- reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service;
- attempt to access another User's data or accounts;
- break any applicable law.
08Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in the Lofi Gangs Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Deletion is described on the data deletion page.
09Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The Service depends on third-party APIs that may change, fail, or be withdrawn, and publication may fail for reasons outside our control. Maintenance may cause interruptions without prior notice.
10Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of Content, loss of audience, or loss of revenue arising from failed, delayed, or incorrect publication, or from action taken by a Platform against a Connected Account.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited under French law.
11Intellectual property
The Lofi Gangs name, icon, website and software are the property of the Operator. These Terms grant you no licence to use them beyond ordinary use of the Service. Editorial content produced by Lofi Gangs may be reused with credit and a link to the original publication. Cited sources remain the property of their respective authors.
12Suspension and termination
- By you — stop using the Service at any time, and revoke its access in your Platform settings: Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → select Lofi Gangs → Remove.
- By us — we may suspend or withdraw access if these Terms are breached, if a Platform requires it, or if continued access would expose us to legal risk. Where circumstances allow, we give notice first.
- Effect of revocation — revoking the authorisation immediately ends our ability to publish to that account. Posts already published stay online; removing them is done in the Platform.
- After termination — stored data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
13Reports and complaints
To report inaccurate content published through the Service, an infringement of image rights, privacy or copyright, or a problem with the Service itself, write to contact@lofigangs.store and identify the publication concerned. We acknowledge reports within 5 working days and answer within 30 days. Manifestly unlawful content is removed without delay, and content subject to a credible rights complaint may be taken down while we assess it.
14Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes are announced on this page, and notified by email to Users, before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the revised Terms.
15General
- Severability — if a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one with the closest possible effect.
- No waiver — not enforcing a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
- Entire agreement — these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and the Operator regarding the Service.
16Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be brought before the competent French courts. Nothing here deprives a consumer of the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
